The Opera Min iOS app has been quite successful garnering a million download on its first day of availability, and now the iOS version of Opera Mini 6 is available to download to your iPhone, iPod Touch and Apple iPad running iOS 3.0 or above.

According to an article over on Techtree, the Opera browser has been optimised to exploit the Retina display of the iPhone 4 and with the Opera Mini app for iOS devices the user gains up to 6 times faster browsing as the browser has been fine tuned under the hood.

Other features of the Opera Mini browser for iDevices include compressing up to 90 percent of data traffic, reach your favourite web pages with a single tap, the ability to view all your open web pages and quickly switch between web pages.

New in Opera Mini 6 is and updated design, support for Apple iPad and Apple iPad 2, sharing on My Opera, Twitter and Facebook, and improved languages. The Opera Mini Web Browser app is available as a free download from iTunes.
