The latest BlackBerry smartphone expecting to release from Research In Motion is of course the BlackBerry Bold 9900, a device unveiled early last month and was said to be made available across several carriers this summer. However, the latest word is those waiting for the BlackBerry Bold 9900 will have a bit of a longer wait on their hands.
According to Phone Arena by way of the Boy Genius Report, the guys have now confirmed from multiple sources that the global launch of the BlackBerry Bold 9900 has been delayed until sometime in September.
Apparently there’s no word on just why the BlackBerry Bold 9900 has been delayed until September, but it surely must hurt RIM knowing they are struggling to deliver new smartphones when they are expected.
So there you have it, for whatever reason the BlackBerry Bold 9900 gets delayed, but the guys do say apparently RIM may push out another major operating system release, possible BlackBerry OS 7.5 before launching any QNX based handsets.
