We haven’t heard much about AT&T’s version of the LG Optimus 3D handset for a while, the LG Thrill 4G; however it appears that the Android 2.2 Froyo smartphone has now made its way to the FCC for approval for AT&T.
According to the guys over at Phandroid, there isn’t a great deal of difference between the LG Optimus 3D and the AT&T branded LG Thrill 4G although apparently an AT&T rep has said that that would probably change come launch time.
Apart from that 3D glasses-less goodness, the LG Thrill 4G will obviously pack 4G connectivity along with a 1 GHz processor, 4.3-inch touch screen, and front facing camera and sould see an upgrade to Android 2.3 Gingerbread at some point.
As yet there’s still no word when AT&T is likely to offer the LG Thrill 4G to customers, but as this carrier banded version is passing through the FCC a release surely can’t be that far away, anyone interested in picking up the LG Thrill 4G from AT&T?
