For those over in the US that have their eye on the Motorola Droid3, as yet there is no word on when Verizon will release the Android smartphone; however, a move by game maker Gameloft could be seen as a sign that the Droid3 just might be hitting Verizon sooner than later.
According to the guys over at Droid-life, Gameloft has now added the Motorola Droid3 to their list of compatible devices, and although that doesn’t actually signify the Android smartphone is about to release, it is a reasonably good sign that Gameloft is expecting people who are waiting for the handset to download games for it in the not too distant future.
However, the guys also have a possible date for the launch of the Motorola Droid3 by way of what they call “close friends” that Verizon has scheduled the release of the Droid3 for the 7th of July.
What has been rumours on the specs side of the device is that the Motorola Droid3 will come packing Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread, a 4-inch qHD touch screen, 8 megapixel camera, front facing camera, TI OMAP dual-core processor, the new MotoBlur, global radios, HDMI, and a 5-row QWERTY slide out keyboard.
So there you have it, if the word is true than potential Droid3 owners can hopefully expect to snap up the device early next month rather than the previously rumoured mid to end of July.
