Brit comedian Ricky Gervais isn’t really someone you would call an Apple fanboy but apparently the star of The Office and numerous other stuff happens to be somewhat in awe of tech and Apple gear although apparently he’s not that great at using it.
According to an article over on Phone Arena, Ricky gave an exclusive interview to Electric Pig delivering his views on all things tech, and says, “In one respect I have to call an assistant to turn the telly on, but in another I’m a gadget guru. I just love them, and I fit into the 80/20 thing, namely that I’m one of the 80% who uses only 20% of what an iPod, iMac, iPad, iPhone is for.”
He never reads manuals but does love anything “with ‘i’ at the start of it — the iPod, the iMac, the iPad.” Ricky also believes that it wont be too long before someone shoots an entire movie using just the iPhone, and confesses that he has a pile of iMacs in his room that “resembles a computer graveyard.”
And oddly albeit humorously Ricky says of Twitter, “Nowadays with forums and Twitter, it’s like graffiti — it’s like walking round finding your name on every toilet wall.” But does admit that he doesn’t know how we lived before the mobile phone.
So there you have it, the thoughts of Ricky Gervais, apparently an Apple fansboy, so perhaps if Google pushed out an iAndroid smartphone maybe it would pull Ricky over to the Android dark side as apparently its all about the ‘i’.
