Skype Edition LG Optimus Black Destined For Telus
Well as you can probably tell from the title of this article, those over in the great white of Canada who use the Telus network and are fans of using Skype, have something to look forward to this summer, as Telus is to offer a Skype edition of the LG Optimus Black.
According to the guys over at Engadget Mobile, Canada’s Telus has announced a Skype edition of the Android 2.2 Froyo LG Optimus Black, which apparently won’t come with Skype pre-installed but rather feature a shortcut to download the app that will come with $2 credit.
Furthermore Telus customers will be able to purchase Skype credits right from their Telus wireless accounts making it more convenient and secure to connect to friends and family and internationally via Skype’s low cost calling rates.
The chief marketing officer of Telus, David Fuller says, “We believe that by developing a deep relationship with leading global communications brands that our customers already know and enjoy, such as Skype, TELUS can provide a superior customer experience that leverages the best of what those brands have to offer and empowers our customers to choose the services they want and need.”
For those that would like the Skype edition LG Optimus Black handset from Telus, the word is the Android handset will be made available sometime in the summer, but as yet no specific release date or pricing has been announced.
