You can now download CyanogenMod7 aka CM7 for your Motorola Droid X and we would like to know what your views are. This is the latest beta that everyone can try out; the good old guys via @cvpcs have been busy little bees.
Droid-Life has the full instructions for your perusal; in fact they have two sets of instructions on how to get the official CM7 on your Motorola device.
You will need to SBF back to 2.3.340; this is needed so that you can get it all working. If you would like to take the easy and fast route then the instructions will help you out, you can jump onto the CM7 train from any build including the new Gingerbread (.596).
The camera, camcorder and possibly YouTube is busted and the things that are working include audio playback, radio, 3g/data, calling, video playback, accelerometer, notification lights, battery charging, market installs, dsp manager, usb connectivity, Bluetooth, plus Bluetooth audio, Bluetooth calling, gps, theme engine, wifi and many more.
The source above has put in bold capital letters a final note that you should read, they mention that you should NOT under any circumstance install or run the DROIDXBOOTSTRAP OR DROID2BOOTSTRAP if you are running CM7, if you do decide to do what your are not supposed to do you will have to SBF your Droid X.
Please visit Droid-Life now for the full instructions, for further support it is recommended you visit both RootzWiki and MyDroidWorld. Please do let us know how you get on with the above, your views are important to us.
