Verizon iPhone Sales Possibly Fallen
Well even sales of Apple’s favourite tech toy the iPhone can’t continue to grow and grow, and everything will at some point start to decline, it’s the nature of the beast so to speak, and the reason I say that is apparently Verizon Wireless is expected to probably announce that sales of the Verizon iPhone have dropped off.
According to a report by Business Week, the USA’s largest wireless carrier will probably announce that sales of their iPhone 4 have dropped when they announce their Q2 results according to an analyst for Goldman Sachs Group.
Jason Armstrong, in a research note said, “IPhone sales will likely be a touch below the 2.2 million” Verizon sold in the first quarter.” Apparently Armstrong had a meeting with investor relations’ execs from Verizon Communications Inc.
The same as AT&T, the Big Red sells the iPhone 4 for $199.99 and $299.99 when signing on for the usual two-year agreement, while AT&T still offers the iconic iPhone 3GS at a much lesser price of just 49 bucks along with a contract of course.
Stock wise, New York based Verizon Communications as of 4pm rose 51 cents to hit $37.23 on the New York Stock Exchange. Apple rose $1.63 rising to $335.67 on the Nasdaq Stock market which means Apple is up 4.1% this year.
Now obviously if the iPhone 5 is expect to be released as of September as popular speculation has it, and on the back of the rumour that the iPhone 5 will release on September the 7th with China Mobile, perhaps this could be the reason the Verizon iPhone is expected to see a drop in sales, as if the iPhone 5 is that close to release then no doubt potential customers are going to hold off purchasing the iPhone 4.
Of course that assumption is based of pure speculation as Apple hasn’t actually made anything official as to when the next generation iPhone will make an appearance, but personally if China Mobile is gaining the iPhone 5 on the 7th of September then I can’t really see Apple not releasing the iOS smartphone on their home turf first.
Then again, you know Apple, they do like bucking the trend, so maybe if China Mobile is destined to gain the iPhone 5 on that particular date, perhaps the United States will see the device surface even earlier, maybe by just a couple of days, who knows.

Leaning the way you lot do, don’t you think that the impressive Galaxy S2 has perhaps just a wee bit to do with Apple’s poor numbers ??
