Today the Google Doodle has prompted us to bring you St. Basil’s Cathedral via iOS apps, the popular Cathedral of the Protection of Most Holy Theotokos on the Moat is in Moscow, Russia and today is its 450th anniversary.
The cathedral was built in 1555—61 and was erected on the Red Square in Moscow, it was built to commemorate the capture of Kazan and Astrakhan by order of Ivan IV of Russia.
Anyway, the first app we have for you is called “St. Basil’s Cathedral (Moscow, Russia) and is £1.79 via iTunes (App Store), this is a great travel app for your iPhone and allows you to explore in style.
This is the St. Basil’s Cathedral – (Moscow, Russia) Travel Map and features sightseeing, culture, special interests, heritage, adventure and all the surroundings on the map. Main features include: Tab the Image gallery, Select Description tab to know the History, Culture and Present Activities, View the location Tab “Show me on Map”, View the location in Street Map and Satellite modes, Take a snap using Camera, watch preview and tab “Use” button to save your favourite by Name, Description and co-ordinates.
The app also features things where you can save your photos with GPS locations or map locations to your favourites, Save your camera location by Map or by Overlay, View all your saved snapshots in favourites and the best feature of all has to be the easy to use navigation. It also comes with added travel guide with location layout.
The second iOS app is called SlidePuzzle Cathedral of St. Basil £1.19 via iTunes (App Store). This app is simple where all you need to do is put the cathedral back together, just move the squares into the blank space to re-create the picture. Nothing amazing here to see but at least it gives you something to do when you are board, have fun and enjoy.
