The new Apple iPad 3 with HD display was said to be 1920×1080 pixel, but a new report shows that the new screens will be a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels. Apple is testing 2048×1536 HD Display For iPad 3 and Samsung and LG will be the manufacturing companies.

Korea Times say that the next iPad will feature 2048×1536 pixels that will bring full HD, and both Samsung and LG will be the suppliers.

Apple is conducting quality testing, there was a little problem with Apple and Samsung’s relationship not so long ago but if the news above is true it looks like differences have come to a close between the two firms. Samsung already supply the majority of components for Apple, like LCD screens, memory chips and processors.

The new iPad 3 will have features such as quad extended graphics (QXGA), display resolution of 2048×1536 pixels with a 4:3 aspect ratio, and full high definition (HD). The iPad will not be seeing an OLED display, the quality and lifespan of an LCD screen is much superior than an OLED especially if the screen size is 10-inchs and above.

Apple has started quality testing the Samsung and LG LCDs at one of its laboratories in China, and seeing as Apple is buying a lot of NAND flash, DRAM and other components from Samsung it is still good to be in a partnership. Apple is already started its move to order memory chips via TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company).

We know nothing about the Apple iPad 3 (HD) release date and official specifications as of yet, but we will keep you updated.
