It seems somewhat strange that although the Motorola Droid Bionic still hasn’t seen the light of day, with many still holding out waiting for the Android smartphone to hit the Big Red network, that today we are hearing about the possible successor to the Droid Bionic, a device that is whispered to be an even better smartphone than the as yet unreleased Motorola Droid Bionic, although the handset is expected to see release as of the 4th of August.
Apparently Motorola’s next flagship super phone may possibly be the Motorola Dinara according to the guys over at Droid-life with the Motorola Dinara currently under development and has been scheduled for release some time in the winter.
So here’s the gossip on what the Motorola Dinara will offer, word has it the smartphone will have a bigger HD display then the Motorola Droid Bionic 4.3-inch, will be thinner and lighter than the Bionic but with a “similar style,” but apparently will feature the same housing but with the display on the Motorola Dinara being edge-to-edge.
Other rumoured specs for the Motorola Dinara include a 13 megapixel rear camera, VGA front facing camera, lock button on the side, 1GB RAM, will run Android Gingerbread OS as Android Ice Cream Sandwich isn’t available as yet but should be by winter so who knows, maybe the Dinara will show up with Ice Cream Sandwich in tow.
The other biggie with the Motorola Dinara is that the Android handset will not have a removable battery, and as for whether the Motorola Dinara will come out to play sporting the ability to play nice on Verizon’s 4G LTE network is also currently unknown, and obviously no word on what the Motorola Dinara may hit the pocket for.
Many have been waiting for the much delayed Motorola Droid Bionic to hit the public arena, but as the Motorola Dinara, which is expected to be a better device than the Bionic, is due in the winter, perhaps those that have been waiting for the Droid Bionic may just hang off and decide to give the Bionic a miss and wait a little longer to pick up the Dinara.
Of course all this is rumour at the time being as nothing has been given the official Motorola stamp, but if true, and if you have been waiting for the Droid Bionic, would you now consider giving it a miss on the chance of snapping up the Motorola Dinara, does the new handset seem more attractive to you than the Bionic?
