For those of you that may be sitting on the fence pondering whether to pick up the Motorola Triumph off contract with Virgin Mobile but haven’t yet made up your mind, perhaps an in-depth two part video review of the Motorola Triumph might help you make a decision one way or the other, so that’s what we have for your viewing consideration below.
The two- part video review of the Motorola Triumph comes our way courtesy of Sydney Myers over at Phone Dog, and combined delivers twenty-two minutes of taking a close look at what the Android smartphone on the Virgin Mobile network offers the customer.
Apparently the Motorola Triumph is Virgin Mobile’s first high-end smartphone for their prepaid customers and offers up a 4.1-inch capacitive touch screen, a 5 megapixel auto-focus rear camera with 720p video, a VGA front facing camera, 1GHz Snapdragon single core processor, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi, 2GB storage, HDMI out port, microSD expansion up to 32GB and a 3.5mm jack, and the Android 2.2 Froyo operating system.
In the videos Sydney covers such things as smartphone performance, 3G speeds, the camera, battery life and more. Sydney says that the display on the Motorola Triumph is clear and bright but don’t expect it to blow you away but doesn’t have any issues with visibility but there is a strange unexplainable blue tint on the display that’s normally associated with AMOLED displays which the Triumph doesn’t have.
Design wise the Motorola Triumph is quite similar to the original Motorola Droid, but minus the physical keyboard and less accent marks with a soft touch coating that feels soft in the hand, but Sydney does say the device looks kind of cheap and like the demo units that don’t have a great deal of design elements.
Anyway, you get what you pay for I guess and at $299.99 void of contract on Virgin Mobile it can’t be that bad a deal, so might be worth looking at if you are into the prepaid line, but is the Motorola Triumph worth that 300 buck asking price, is the device for you?
Well as you should know by now I’m not going to tell you but rather let you head on down to mash that play button and check out this in-depth video review of the Motorola Triumph so you can make that informed judgement about the handset for yourself…enjoy and feel free to let us know if you are going to pick up the Triumph by posting to our comments area below.
