For those Android faithful on the Sprint network that have been patiently awaiting the release of the Motorola Photon 4G smartphone you might like to know that Sprint has now made the Android handset available to purchase, and so we thought you might also like to view an unboxing video of the Motorola Phone 4G, so we have one from your viewing pleasure below.
According to the guys over at Unwired View, Sprint is now offering the Motorola Photon 4G for purchase at a cost of $199.99 when signing your life away for the usual two-year term and with free shipping for new line and upgrades.
Spec wise the Motorola Photon 4G offers the customer, a 4.3-inch qHD touch screen, 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor, 8 megapixel rear facing camera with 720p video, front facing camera, integrated rear kickstand, 1GB RAM, Bluetooth, WiFi, Mobile Hotspot, 3G and 4G WiMAX connectivity, 16GB internal memory, global roaming, and microSD expansion and comes with the Netflix app out of the box and 3.5mm jack and Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread OS.
The unboxing video of the Motorola Photon 4G comes our way courtesy of Aaron Baker over at Phone Dog and delivers a nice nine and a half minutes of getting up close with the Android smartphone, and is set to compete against the likes of the HTC EVO 3D, but can the Motorola Photon 4G take the Sprint crown from the EVO?
Aaron says that the Motorola Photon 4G overall is a good-looking handset but is a tiny bit thick however does feel good in the hand. Furthermore the Photon 4G is somewhat prone to fingerprints with all its chrome accents all round its sides. The handset has seven home screens and Sprint ID preinstalled so is one of the first high-end handsets on Sprint with integral Sprint ID experience.
So is the Motorola Photon 4G the Android smartphone you should pick up or should you go for another Motorola device, or perhaps the HTC EVO 3D on Sprint, well as you know I’m not going to say but rather let you head on down to mash that play button and check out the device so you can make up your own mind.
Of course if you are contemplating picking up the Motorola Photon 4G from Sprint we’d love to know what you think of the handset once you get it so feel free to let us know by posting your opinions to our comments area below…enjoy.
