iProteins, iNutrients & Proteins App for Vegans and Vegetarians

If you are a bodybuilder, vegan or vegetarian you will love this brilliant app called “iProteins – iNutrients: Proteins” by James Hollender, the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad will love this application.

Any application that includes these features is a must to download, the features include: Food Title, Common Measures, Weight in grams, Protein Content, Calories, USDA Description, USDA Food Group, USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference ID and Percentage of Protein by Weight.

The iProteins app allows users to easily find out the amount of protein in over 1,100 different food servings, which is extremely helpful for Vegans, Vegetarians and also Body Builders, it is fantastic for keeping track of personal protein intake and the ability to backup and restore the personal information.

It also comes with a colour guide to help identify which is which, these include: Black = Rated extremely high in Proteins (30.01 – 51.89 g), Dark Red = Rated very high in Proteins (20.01 – 30.00 g), Orange = Rated moderately high in Proteins (12.01 – 15.00 g), Yellow = Rated moderate in Proteins (9.01 – 12.00 g), Light Green = Rated moderately low in Proteins (6.01 – 9.00 g), as well as Red = Rated high in Proteins (15.01 – 20.00 g), Green = Rated low in Proteins (3.01 – 6.00 grams, Cyan = Rated very low in Proteins (0.01 – 3.00 g) and White = Rated extremely low in Proteins (less than 0.01 g).

There is 8 tables listing foods and these include: All Foods (includes search capability), Fruits & Vegetables, Fast Foods, Dairy & Egg, Meat, Fish & Shellfish, plus Cereal Grains & Pasta, Sweets and Snacks.

How to Use this App – Shows detailed information about how to record the user’s personal nutrient intake of Proteins, how to make changes to what the user has recorded, how to backup and restore the data.

* Access My Records – Provides up to a full year of recorded entries, listed and grouped by date. Users may also view each individual entry in the database. Allowances are made for deleting records, changing the date, and also changing the number of servings.

* Other Important Information – Provides access to a copy of the User Agreement, and links to communicate with the developer about bugs, suggestions or comments. There is also an iAd Sampler that allow the user to view up to five iAds at one time. It should be noted that the best selection of iAds comes out at the top of every hour.
