RedSn0w Jetblue Edition Jailbreak Download for iOS 5 Beta 6
The new iOS 5 Beta 6 was released recently and yesterday we already reported that you could jailbreak this new operating system by using the new Sn0wBreeze update, well today you can also use the new RedSn0w 0.9.8b6 aka Jetblue Edition to jailbreak iOS 5 Beta 6.
The new update has been released by the Dev-Team, and we would love to hear from those that give’s it a go. Next month should see the final release of the new iOS 5, which would tally up to the new iPhone 5 release date if all goes according to Apple’s plans.
The newly released redsn0w 0.9.8b6 jailbreak needs to be pointed at beta 6 IPSW, the Dev Team says on its website two important notes within this version and they include, allowing you device to boot in the normal manner to IOS5b6 and do a clean shutdown (slide to power off) before jailbreaking. Boot logos have intentionally been disabled for now, so you’ll see a black screen on tethered boots (you can re-enable logos or verbose boot with command-line options if you really want them back).
The second bit of important information states that due increased sensitivity to abrupt filesystem shutdowns in IOS5b6, it’s very important that you do a clean shutdown before running redsn0w.
iDB suggests that you follow the Dev Teams instructions, and we recommend you visit iDB as they have much more information on RedSn0w including tutorials etc. If you decide to use the new jailbreak make sure you turn off your iPhone and then back on again before proceeding, as this will give you a clean jailbreak.
The new RedSn0w 0.9.8b6 jailbreak id for both PC and Mac, if you are a Windows user please visit our Sn0wBreeze article we published yesterday. Please let us know if have tried out the new Sn0wBreeze or RedSn0w jailbreaks for iOS 5 Beta 6 yet. Thanks
