If you are in the United Kingdom and own a Samsung Android smartphone you will be gaining a new app store for grabbing your applications, as the word is old Sammy has now announced their new Premium Samsung Apps Store for Android, and has been launched in the UK first.
According to the guys over at Android Community, Samsung states that the United Kingdom is one of the first to gain access to the new Android applications store that offers premium apps, and will offer premium apps to compliment the free Samsung apps they already offer.
The managing director, mobile of Samsung UK and Ireland, Simon Stanford says, “Anyone that signs up to Samsung Apps Store for Android today, will find a multitude of free and premium apps already available. In the spirit of providing Android users with the best possible mobile experience, it is our intention to continue to develop this premium service to ensure our customers have access to all the latest great content on Android.”
Some popular apps available on the Premium Samsung Apps Store for Android are, Need for Speed Shift HD, Zenonia, 9mm and Sims 3 HD, and apparently there is no need to sign up while the new store should make it easier for Samsung device owners to grab premium apps.
If you are a Samsung Android smartphone user in the UK you’ll require a credit card to purchase apps for now, but apparently sometime in the future purchases of the apps will be billed to the users phone bill.
So there you go id you do happen to own a Samsung Android smartphone you now have another option for picking up your apps, personally I tend to stick to the Android Market for apps for my Samsung Galaxy S, but I may try out the Samsung Premium store just to see what its like.
