Well now apparently HTC is to hold a “press conference and party” in the United Kingdom on the 6th of October and has sent out a few invitations to the event, although the invitation doesn’t actually let on as to what HTC will be delivering during said event, the rumour is it could be the launch of the HTC Vigor.
According to the guys over at Slash Gear they have already received their invite to the event and their best guess is it will be another “high-profile Android device launch” with the most likely contender being the HTC Vigor.
HTC has in the past held such events for several significant unveilings, and the guys do say that there is a press only event expected late this month where the HTC Runnymede is expected to debut, whether that be as the Runnymede or the HTC Bass as previously rumoured remains to be seen.
The guys also say that the event could possibly be for HTC Windows Phone devices, but HTC has already outed the HTC Titan and HTC Radar, so it’s looking more likely to be the HTC Vigor.
Apparently HTC has asked the guys not even to mention the actual venue where the even will be held, but should be made available to the public closer to October 6th.
Rumoured details on the HTC Vigor are, a 4.3-inch 720p HD touch screen, 8 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front facing camera, 1.5GHz dual core processor, 16GB internal storage, 1GB RAM and runs Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread.
Hopefully if the guys are right in their guess on what the HTC event will be about, then we should know more on the HTC Vigor as of the 6th of October, and of course whatever the occasion we will pass it along.
