iPhone 5 and iPhone 4 Plus for China Coming Says Analyst
We all know that the iPhone 5 will eventually at some point in the not too distant future hit the mobile space, but the word is their will also be another iOS smartphone coming out alongside the iPhone 4, presumably the iPhone 4s, but according to an analyst that second iPhone will be the iPhone 4 Plus for China.
According to the guys over on Apple Insider, JP Morgan analyst Mark Moskowitz reiterated what most already know tin a note to investors, that the iPhone 5 will be a world phone, sport the same A5 processor found in the Apple iPad 2, and will not sport 4G capability.
However, Moskowitz claims that there will be two iPhone models, the iPhone 5 and as he puts it, “A second device (4-plus) based on the current iPhone 4 but with some minor improvements could target the midrange and focus on China. As for the current iPhone 4, we expect it to subsume 3GS as the lower-end offering.”
Furthermore Moskowitz claims that his research shows that this “iPhone 4 Plus” may target more than a single carrier in China but doesn’t expect the iPhone 4 Plus to be an exclusive handset for China and says, “There could be other use cases, particularly in the midrange.”
However, as we have already seen the white iPhone 4S turn up in AT&T’s internal system, it would appear that this “iPhone 4 Plus” could possibly be a Chinese version of the iPhone 4S?.
Whatever the case, which moniker do our readers prefer, the iPhone 4S or iPhone 4 Plus, feel free to voice your opinions to our comments area below.
