HP TouchPad Go Tablet 7-Inch aka Opal: Please Release Me
A new prototype of the HP TouchPad Tablet 7-Inch aka Opal has shown up online, now seeing as webOS is basically non-existent, will the company really release this new device?
The HP TouchPad Go tablet is codenamed the “Opal” and has shown up on a Chinese forum called ZooPDA (Google Translation), this tablet PC according to This is my next was supposed to be released but HP decided to kill off webOS hardware, so where does it lie now is the question?
If you look at the photo below you will clearly see it says “Property of Hewlett Packard — Packard Company, Prototype — Not for sale”.
It shows a list of specs such as 1.5GHz APQ8060 Snapdragon processor, 16GB of storage (Sandisk eMMC), Ericsson 3G module, apparently it also comes with the same 1024 x 768 resolution as the larger HP TouchPad tablet PC.
It looks like it comes with a NFC module, not too sure on this one. It is a crying shame that HP has killed of this HP TouchPad 7-Inch Tablet.
If HP were to release this HP TouchPad Go Tablet 7-Inch aka Opal, would you buy one?
Phones Review Say’s: Personally we say that if HP has a lot of these in stock then release it, people will come flocking to purchase one and that means HP stocks will rise in the fourth quarter. Remember when the HP TouchPad was selling for a mere $99, well sell this tablet and get it out of the dead-in-the-water for the same price and watch the money grow in your back HP.
Other HP News: Yesterday we reported that the white HP TouchPad and the AT&T HP Pre 3 was spotted online. For more information on the white European HP TouchPad, and the black TouchPad 4G for AT&T, as well as the Pre 3 4G for AT&T, please visit this article.
