It appears there’s no stopping old Samsung in expanding their highly popular Galaxy S II range of devices, as the word is old Sammy has now added two new smartphones to the range for South Korea, the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE and the Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE.
According to the guys over at Sammyhub, Samsung has now officially announced the two new Android 2.3 Gingerbread Samsung Galaxy S II devices for the South Korean market, although no doubt both handset will become available elsewhere eventually.
So first up is the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE, which was previously announced back at IFA and boasts a 4.5-inch WVGA Super AMOLED Plus touch screen along with a 1.5GHz dual core processor, 8 megapixel camera, HD video, 16GB internal memory, NFC, MHL, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, 1850mAh battery, all wrapped up in a 9.5mm housing and boasts up to 5x faster download speeds than 3G.
Then we have the Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE, which packs a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED touch screen, Rev. A, HSPA+ and LTE along with the same specs as the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE, but is also the first Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone to come out to play packing an HD display with 1280 x 720 resolution.
Word is the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE will be available in South Korea on SK Telecom, whilst the Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE will be available on SK Telecom, KT and LG U+ although no availability date or pricing on either Android smartphone has been given.
