Obviously the next in line in the Motorola Droid family will be the Motorola Droid 4 and apparently there is at least one Motorola Droid 4 prototype doing the rounds, as the word is someone has managed to get their handset on the Droid 4, which is codenamed Maserati and dished a little detail.
According to an article over on Phone Arena by way of Droid-life, a user of Howard Forums claims to have had some playtime with the Motorola Droid 4 Maserati, albeit not being allowed to power up the Android smartphone.
Anyway according to user fonesex, the Motorola Droid 4 sports a 4-inch ish touch screen, and may possibly have a slide out QWERTY keyboard, lacks a D-pad, may have 4G LTE capabilities and has a removable battery.
Here’s what fonesex posted… “Also just held another stunning phone. Droid 4(G), aka Maserati. REALLY nice phone and form, No D-pad, this does have a removable battery. Unfortunately didn’t get to power it up. For those of you who prefer a keyboard, your gonna love this one.”
According to the Phone Arena guys, as the Motorola Droid 4 will be the successor to the Motorola Droid 3 one can expect a minimum of an 8 megapixel camera, 1080p video, a qHD display and a 1GHz processor judging by what the Droid 3 offers.
Furthermore, apparently fonesex was also one of the first to get some playtime with the upcoming Motorola Droid RAZR and apparently claims the Droid RAZR’s 4.3-inch display looks to have a bigger resolution when compared to the Motorola Droid Bionic qHD display.
No other details are available at this time on the Motorola Droid 4, and of course it could lose that Masaerati codename before coming out to play, but as soon as we hear more on this one we will of course pass it along.
