Flickr has now officially announced two new features, the Flickr app for Android and Photo Session, both making uploading and sharing of images more interactive and enabling users to engage with family and friends via their chosen mobile phone, tablet or computer.
Flickr for Android is the first Flickr native app for the Android platform delivering an easy way for users to capture and share high-quality images whilst on the move, and enables users to take pictures directly from the app using the innovative shoot and share camera.
With the Flickr for Android app users share images across social networks, have instant access to all their photos, sets, profile info and favourites, and manage privacy settings on just who can download their image collections.
The Flickr for Android app is available to download to your preferred Android device as a free app from the Android Market.
Photo Session from Flickr is an interactive way of sharing Flickr sets and photostreams with family and friends where you can brows images and chat in real time via your PC, iPhone or Apple iPad.
It is fairly easy to begin a Photo Session simply by sending a link to friends and family who can then access images via their iOS device or icomputer from any location and can share images with up to 10 others simultaneously whilst chatting via the embedded chat feature.
