Honeycomb Smart Tab 7 and 10 Slates Revealed By Vodafone Germany
Phones Review Quickie: As you no doubt know if you live in Germany you can’t purchase the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 due to the infinite wisdom of the German court coming down on the side of Apple and banning the Android slate, but there are alternate Android Honeycomb tablets, and Vodafone Germany has now revealed two of their own.
According to an article over on Ubergizmo by way of Eurodroid, during the IFA event Vodafone Germany revealed a couple of own branded Android tablets, the Vodafone Smart 7 and Vodafone Smart 10.
Obviously 7-inch and 10-inch slates both pack a 1.2GHz Qualcomm dual core processor; have a 1280 x 800 resolution display, 1GB RAM, have 16GB internal memory, and microSD card expansion up to 32GB, 5 megapixel rear facing camera, 2 megapixel front facing camera, and both will run the Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system.
Size wise the Vodafone Smart 7 is apparently 11.4mm in thickness and weighs in at 361 grams, but the measurements and weight of the Vodafone Smart 10 hasn’t been stated.
That’s about all we know on these two Vodafone branded Android tablets for now, which apparently will hit retail stores in Germany sometime in November, but as for what each will hit your pocket for is anyone’s guess at the moment, so is whether Vodafone will launch these slates outside Germany, but as and when we hear more we will pass it along.
Perhaps Apple will now sue Vodafone as their new tablets are the same shape as the Apple iPad, only joking.
