iPhone 4S Possible Price and Launch Date
Well today’s the big day for the iOS faithful across the globe, the day Apple dishes the dirt on just what they will be offering their loyal following, and obviously the iPhone speculation will be running rife right up until Apple makes the official announcements. But it appears some info may have already hit the net waves on the iPhone 4S.
According to the guys over at 9to5 Mac, an unnamed source has come up with the international pricing for the iPhone 4S, and the guys have done the rough conversion into dollars, and this is how it pans out…
Apparently an unlocked 64GB iPhone 4S will be priced the same as the current 32GB iPhone 4, so will cost $299, whilst the price of a 32GB iPhone 4S will be the same as the current 16GB iPhone 4, so will cost $199 and apparently the 16GB handset will now cost $99 in the US.
As for that 8GB iPhone 4 the guys reckon the iOS smartphone will be priced at roughly $49, and apparently according to MacRumors, Apple will soon offer an unlocked iPhone 3GS and the guys believe a free 3GS on contract seems plausible.
Now as for that launch date, the guys say they have heard that Apple is gearing up for a launch on October 14th, with overnights planned for the 13th, and that stores will open their doors at 7am and some locations will remain open until midnight to meet expected demand.
The guys further say that the launch will be of the iPhone 4S with 8 megapixel camera, Assistant feature, A5 processor, and 1GB RAM and Nuance speech-to-text.
Okay so, no word on any redesigned iPhone 5 then, which begs the question; will we see the newly designed iPhone 5 today or not, or has Apple simply decided to opt for the iPhone 4S name over the iPhone 5 name? Is there a redesigned iPhone 5 or was that all just speculation? I guess we’ll all find out for sure in a few hours time.
