Phones Review Quickie: If you are contemplating hitting up the Big Red with a view to purchasing what is called the phone for females, namely the HTC Rhyme, formally know as the HTC Bliss, but aren’t too sure if the Android handset is for you, perhaps an unboxing and hands-on video with the HTC Rhyme might help you come to that decision.
Thus that’s what we have for your viewing consideration below, an unboxing and hands-on with the HTC Rhyme video courtesy of the guys over at Android Community that delivers five and a half minutes of getting up close to the handset.
Apparently say the guys the first thing one notices when you pick up the Rhyme is the “solid build quality” and a year ago would have been considered a “superphone.”
Spec wise the Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone packs a 3.7-inch SLCD touch screen, 1GHz processor, 5 megapixel rear facing auto-focus camera with flash and 720p video, a Vga front facing camera, WiFi, Mobile hotspot functionality for up to 5 devices, Bluetooth 3.0, 4GB storage, 768MB RAM, microSD expansion up to 32GB, GPS, and 3.5mm jack.
However the guys do say that where the HTC Rhyme stands out is with its accessories, you get all the usual stuff found in the box, but also a desktop dock, custom earbuds and of course that Charm that lights up when receiving a cal, email or text.
The HTC Rhyme can be yours for $199 based on a two-year term with Verizon of if you don’t like the contract option you can purchase the device off contract for $439.
So with all that said and done I’ll leave you to head on down to mash that play button and check out the unboxing and hands-on with the HTC Rhyme…enjoy.
