Ah the old Motorola RAZR, I remember it well, and personally it was one of my most favourite handsets, and as you are probably aware there are rumours that Motorola is working on bringing back the RAZR brand, possibly as the Motorola Droid RAZR, and this week apparently Motorola purchase the MotorolaRAZR.com domain name, some seven years after the launch of the Motorola RAZR.
Well now according to an article over on Ubergizmo and by way of Fusible, Motorola is purchasing RAZR domains left right and centre, giving more evidence that the Motorola Droid RAZR is coming.
The rumours are that Motorola is planning on combining two of their brand name, the aforementioned RAZR and the Droid brand to deliver the Droid RAZR, a device we recently reported on which could be know as the Motorola Droid RAZR, Motorola Droid HS or Motorola Spyder.
However with Motorola purchasing RAZR domain names it would appear that the Droid RAZR is likely to be the name of the device that comes out to play. The domains Motorola has purchased this week are as follows…
motorazr.net, motorolarazr.net, razermoto.com, razermotorola.com, razormoto.com, razrmoto.com, razrmoto.net, razrmotorola.net, razrphone.net.
Of course these domain name purchases could simply be protecting Motorola brands, but why now after seven year of the RAZR making its departure? The one answer seems fairly obvious; Motorola is planning on delivering a device sporting the RAZR brand, and no doubt a smartphone, as one can’t really see Motorola delivering a RAZR branded feature phone in this day and age.
So there it is, more evidence that Motorola will be bringing the RAZR back to the living, so what do you think, are you interested in a Motorola Droid RAZR device?
