HP TouchPad Go 7 Slate At FCC
Phones Review Quickie: The HP TouchPad flew off shelves once HP dropped the price to 99 bucks as the webOS slate was consigned to the scrap yard, and no doubt many were disappointed that they didn’t manage to grab the slate at such a low price. However there is a possibility you might be able to pick up the HP TouchPad’s smaller brother sometime in the future.
According to an article over on Ubergizmo, by way of The-digital-reader, it appears that HP has another webOS tablet that has now cleared the FCC; the tablet is apparently called the HP TouchPad Go, a 7-inch slate.
Apparently this isn’t the first time the HP TouchPad Go has paid a visit to the Federal Communications Commission either, so it seems that HP has made a few changes to the device, which leads to the question, why would HP make changes to a tablet they have no intensions of releasing?
We can only assume that if HP is continuing with changes to the HP TouchPad Go and the device has now cleared the FCC, HP may be contemplating releasing the slate at some point in the future, although the guys do say that perhaps HP simply forgot to let the FCC know they had decided to cancel the device.
There’s no official announcement from HP on the HP TouchPad Go, so it is difficult to say whether the device will ever see the light of day at this point, and as for any specs on the tablet other than its 7-inch as has webOS everything else is rumour as we reported previously.
