If you are one of the Android faithful over in the States on the AT&T network, AT&T has now announced five new Android handsets for your consideration, and they are the Motorola Atrix 2, Samsung Captivate Glide, Samsung Double Time, AT&T Avail and the Pantech Pocket.
According to the guys over at Slash Gear with the addition of these five new devices, AT&T this year now offers 19 Android handsets. We have a video for your viewing consideration below that shows off all five Android smartphones and comes our way courtesy of ShareATT.
According to the guys, both the Motorola Atrix 2 and Samsung Captivate Glide pack 1GHz dual core processors, along with 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and HD video, and “4G” HSPA+, and the Atrix 2 offers a 4.3-inch qHD touch screen while the Captivate Glide offers a 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display along with a slide out QWERTY.
Spec wise the Samsung Double Time features a flip out QWERTY with a 3.2-inch HVGA touch screen along with a 600MHz processor, tri-band UMTS, 260MB memory and runs Android 2.2 Froyo OS.
As for the AT&T Avail, the handset is a budget device offering a 3.5-inch touch screen, 5 megapixel camera, tri-band UMTS, 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM, WiFi, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and comes with a preinstalled 2GB microSD card.
The Pantech Pocket is rather an unusual looking handset with a 4-inch SVGA touch screen, 600MB internal storage, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, 5 megapixel camera and also runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and microSD expansion.
No word on when any of these Android smartphone will hit AT&T shelves or what they will hit your pocket for, but as and when we hear we will of course pass it along, but until then head on down to mash that play button and check out the handsets…enjoy.
