As you know, Jawbone is fairly famous for their Bluetooth headsets, but it appears that Jawbone has something new in their stable, a wristband accessory for the iPhone called the Jawbone UP and said accessory will soon be available from AT&T.
According to the guys over at Ubergizmo, the Jawbone UP is some kind of fitness technology in a wristband designed to work in conjunction with an iOS app for the iPhone whereby the user wears the UP wristband and can schedule reminders.
Here’s what the Jawbone UP blurb says on the AT&T coming soon page, “UP is a revolutionary system that tracks your sleep, activity, and eating habits, and puts that information in the palm of your hand. It’s the around-the-clock, around-the-wrist, app-powered band that makes healthy living fun and social.”
So basically the user wears the Jawbone UP wristband continually when asleep and awake and when you need waking up the wristband “buzzes” as a wakeup call and you can then see your sleep patterns on your iPhone.
There is a video on the AT&T page which also shows that the wristband can track your walking as well by counting the steps you take, keep track of your dietary goals, let you know when you should get up from that computer and stretch and so on.
So basically the Jawbone UP wristband for the iPhone helps you become a healthier you enabling you to eat healthier, sleep better, and move more.
As stated earlier in this post, the Jawbone UP is coming soon to AT&T but currently there is no word on just how many bucks the accessory will hit your pocket for.
