As always when it comes to ‘Apple iPad 3’ news, sit back and ready lightly until the official announcement has been made. More rumours are spreading around the web about the next-gen Apple tablet, this time it is all about the smaller dock connector & 2048 x 1536 Retina Display, and March release date.

Hexus is reporting that Macotakara believes the iPad 3 will release March 2012, with a re-design smaller dock connector and 2048 x 1536 Retina Display.

The 30-pin dock connector will still be a 30-pin type, but will be a little smaller than the current one, as well as a shape re-design. The iPad 3 will also and we say “Apparently” be the same size as the iPad 2 and will come in either black or white, the iPad 2 currently sports 1,024×768 resolution, and the new iPad 3 will sport and yet again “Apparently” 2048×1536 Retina Display.
