Now we all know that the bid deal with the iPhone 4S is the voice assistant Siri, and sooner or later it had to happen, someone coming up with an iPhone 4S accessory for use with the Siri feature. So this has now been accomplished with an accessory called Iris 9000, a remote controlled unit that works with Siri over a distance of 50 feet.
With the Iris 9000 voice control module for iPhone and Siri the user can use the iOS voice assistant from across the room rather than having to pick up their iPhone 4S that sits neatly in the Iris 9000 cradle and a simple press of a button on the micro-remote activates Siri.
The Iris 9000 features a built-in microphone that picks up the users voice whilst the accessories speaker amplifies Siri’s response so you can hear it from a distance, and also delivers the ability to make and receive calls via a standard speakerphone.
To give the Iris 9000 module its “ Classic Sci-fi styling” look the device features a glowing LED eye that flickers as Siri responds, and has aluminium accents.
If you fancy having the Iris remote voice module to play along with Siri on your iPhone 4S unfortunately the accessory isn’t available just yet as the device is expected to release sometime next year with a price tag of $59.99, and is only compatible with the iPhone 4S, but you can sign up for notification on when it will be available from ThinkGeek.
We also have a quick promotional video of the Iris 9000 remote voice module for the iPhone and Siri for your viewing consideration below, so don’t forget to hit that play button and check it out. Will you be picking up this Siri accessory when it becomes available?
