Siri on iPhone 3GS, Activator integration coming
Apple’s Siri assistant is on the iPhone 4S at the moment, but new reports yesterday suggests that it might not just be a hack on the iPhone 4 and iPad 2, because Apple is testing it on other devices. Since this has come about the new voice assistant has been ported to the iPhone 3GS.
Siri on iPhone 3GS will probably never go public, but it has been successfully ported according to a new tweet on twitter via jailbreak developer Ryan Petrich.
Below we have embedded a video of Siri working on the Apple iPhone 3GS, and it really works. Siri was ported onto this device with the help of chpwn and Steven Troughton-Smith.
More good news is to come, iDB reports that Ryan Petrich is now working on the popular jailbreak tweak, Activator with Siri. Cydia will not get Siri for a long time, maybe never due to legal reasons, but at least the port on the iPhone 3GS is a start for the two-year old smartphone.
