Playing music on your iPhone is great, but if you have a yearning for the good old days back in the 80’s when you could strut your stuff walking down the street with a ghetto blaster perched precariously on your shoulder, perhaps iHome have come up with the iPhone dock for you.
The guys over at The Verge bring the iHome iP4 iPhone dock to our attention, an accessory that harkens back to the nostalgic 80’s style boombox that features SRS TruBass digital signal processing tech.
The iHome iP4 dock also sports 5 band EQ along with 4 carbon composite woofers, 1-inch ferro fluid cooled tweeters, FM radio and aux line-in jack, and operates via either an AC adaptor or 6 D batteries.
The nostalgic accessory is somewhat on the hefty side weighing in at 7.5 pounds and measures 17.81 x 9.06 x 4.96 inches and comes in two colours, neon pink or muted grey and according to iHome the iP4 will work with virtually every iPhone or iPod due to a flexible dock.
So if you want to take that jump back in time and carry the iHome iP4 dock on your shoulder for everyone to see, the portable accessory will hit your pocket for 200 bucks from iHome.
Of course if you don’t wish to pack the chunky boombox on your shoulder you can always confine it to your desk where it will work just as well. Unfortunately iHome hasn’t come up with any real images of the iP4 but has opted to post renders of the device, which doesn’t really give it any clarity.
Anyway, will you be shelling out that 200 bucks to take a step back in time for your iOS music or will you give this one a miss? Fell free to let us know by dropping a comment to the area below.
