For the BlackBerry faithful out there Research In Motion has now officially announced two new BlackBerry OS 7 smartphones in the form of the BlackBerry Bold 9790 and the BlackBerry Curve 9380 and both retain that tried and trusted albeit somewhat old BlackBerry design rather than the new BBX device design we have recently seen.
According to the guys over at Ubergizmo, RIM has now announced the two new smartphones which they say offer slim and stylish designs and with the BlackBerry Curve 9380 being the first Curve handset to sport a touch display.
The BlackBerry Bold 9790 stays true to the classic BlackBerry Bold brand and combines a high-resolution display with a tactile keyboard and optical trackpad, but with a narrower design, and packs a 1GHz processor along with 8GB onboard memory and microSD expansion up to 32GB and BlackBerry OS 7.
The BlackBerry Curve 9380 sports a 3.2-inch touch screen, 5 megapixel camera with flash and video recording, BlackBerry OS 7 operating system, BlackBerry Messenger, Facebook and Twitter apps along with Social Feeds apps.
And that’s about all that Research In Motion has let on about the BlackBerry Bold 9790 and BlackBerry Curve 9380, and of course there’s not word on just when the smartphones will come out to play or what pricing they will command.
So, going on what little information we have been given, is the Bold 9790 or Curve 9380 a BlackBerry device for you or will you be holding off purchasing a BlackBerry device until such times as RIM deliver the BBX smartphone the BlackBerry London?
