Yesterday I posted an article stating that both Rogers and Telus would be offering the first Android Ice cream Sandwich smartphone in Canada as of January 2012, and new we know that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be arriving in Canada early next month on rival carriers Bell and Virgin Mobile.
According to the guys over at Rootwiki, Virgin Mobile was the first to come forth and announced the Samsung Galaxy Nexus coming to their network in early December but unfortunately do not give any hard and fast date in that month where potential owners can pick up the Android device.
Then Bell Canada also announced that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus would be coming to play nice on their network in the great white early December, but again hasn’t delivered an exact date when bell customers can get their mitts of the Android Ice Cream Sandwich packing smartphone.
However, those who are faithful to Bell Canada can sign up for further information on the availability of the Samsung Galaxy nexus by visiting the carrier’s landing page.
Spec reminder for any Canadian that may have missed them, 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD touch screen, 1.2GHz dual core processor, 5 megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, 1080p video, NFC, Face Unlock, Google+ app, 4G LTE and HSPA+ connectivity, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, 3.5mm jack and 16GB or 32GB internal storage and of course Android 4.0 OS.
So my Canadian friends there you have it, Bell Canada and Verigin Mobile will offer the latest and greatest Android smartphone hopefully before Christmas, while Rogers and Telus will offer the Galaxy Nexus in the New Year, so which Canadian carrier will you be opting for?
