Phones Review Quickie: There’s a new upcoming telco over in India, a telco that is gearing up to enter the higer end smartphone arena, and that Indian telco if called MicroMax, and Micromax is stepping into the Indian smartphone space with an Android 2.2 Froyo smartphone called the MicroMax A85.

The Micromax A85 smartphone for India offers the user a 3.8-inch TFT capacitive touch screen along with a 5 megapixel rear facing camera, 0.3 megapixel front facing camera, 1GHz Cortex-A9 dual core processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB internal memory, microSD expansion up to 32GB, motion sensor and a 1500mAh battery.

Other than those specs the Android smartphone offers support for MP3, WAV, ACC, MP4, H.263 and 3GP formats, along with an FM radio, 3G, GPRS, WiFi, Bluetooth, email and push email, document viewer and editor, Google talk, YouTube, and Picassa.
