Over in the good old US of A if you are the proud owner of the Verizon Samsung Fascinate and have been patiently waiting for your smartphone to receive a little Android operating system update, the word is that Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread update just might be coming to your handset in the not too distant future.

The guys over at Droid-life have come into possession of a screenshot, apparently from one of their “good friends in the industry,” which shows that the Big Red is currently field testing the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread OS for the Verizon Samsung Fascinate.

The build number is EH03, and thus it is presumed that the Android update will be ready for pushing out to the Samsung Fascinate sometime in the future, albeit not having an actually date for the update at least you now know that Verizon is field testing and it will eventually be on its way.

The guys also suggest that there is a possibility that there could be a leak of build EH03 from the developer community in the coming days, but one ha to bear in mind this build could fail and we could end up with moving onto build EH04.

Anyway that’s about all we have on the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread update for the Verizon Samsung Fascinate at the moment, but as soon as we hear that update is ready to push out we will of course let you know.
