The Asus Padfone is expected to release February 7, 2012, and now more news has popped up in the benchmark database. This device has shown up on GLBenchmark with the initials Qcom MSM8960, which is reference to the Qualcomm MSM8960 chip.
This means that the Asus Padfone will come with the Qualcomm MSM8960 Chip, and embedded S4 SoC (Qualcomm Snapdragon platform S4). According to the sources below this will be the two-core SoC Krait giving a maximum frequency of 1.5 GHz, but apparently the log does not exceed 1 GHz.
It will also feature memory controller LPDDR2 and Adreno 225 graphics accelerator. Could this mean that the Qualcomm SoCs that are embedded will include super fast HSPA+ and LTE speeds?
The handset will come running Android Gingerbread 2.3.5 operating system, shall we all keep fingers crossed for Ice Cream Sandwich, you never know in this day and age. There is not a lot more information at this given time, please do visit the sources below and then let us know if the Asus Padfone is getting your attention?
