December 8th Galaxy Nexus vs Droid 4, opt for?

With just a matter of weeks to go until Christmas, the big red US carrier Verizon are cementing their place with yet two more phone handsets, that of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Motorola’s new Droid 4. Both devices have been reported on by ourselves, and before we refresh you on their specifications, we wanted to tell you that the news is pointing towards a December 8th release.

Benefiting from Verizon’s LTE speedy network, both new phones will run alongside another biggie that of Apple’s iPhone 4S, again a device proving popular. Just yesterday we compared the Galaxy Nexus against rival competition from Motorola’s new Droid RAZR and HTC’s Rezound, with our very own James reporting on the Galaxy Nexus price being slashed to a rumored $199 as appose to the $300 first thought.

So what can you expect to get for your hard earned dollars? First up the Sammy device will come packed with a 4.65-inch display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5 megapixel rear and 1.3 front-facing cameras, NFC, Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 OS and so on.

On the other hand, the Motorola Droid 4 as digitaltrends.com reported, is similar to that of the new Droid RAZR, although one big difference can be sighted straight away, that of a slide out keyboard. In terms of features, the Droid 4 packs a 4-inch Super Amoled Advanced display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor equalling the Nexus, 8 megapixel rear and front-facing camera with possible Ice Cream Sandwich OS, this is yet to be confirmed.

As the rumored day of reckoning is just around the corner, what are your thoughts? Galaxy Nexus or Droid 4?
