HTC Sensation receives price slash, where?
Although HTC’s Sensation smartphone unfortunately arrived before the company acquired Beats by Audio technology from Dr.Dre, consumers are still purchasing the phone, and newer HTC models that of the XE and XL are now also pulling in the customers. In relation to the original Sensation, we have some good news to speak of with the lead up to Christmas.
Ok, so there may be other smartphone devices ready to be snapped up from retailer shelves, for example Apple’s iPhone 4S, Motorola’s Droid RAZR or Samsung’s Galaxy S II or Nexus, but with nearly a 40% lowered price off the Sensation which is listed at £500, you will now be paying an impressive £300. From where you may be asking?
As Itproportal.com reported, retailers Play and Amazon are offering the Sensation at this massive discount, which on comparison to others is marginally lower, take the iPhone 4 which is still retailing at a price of £429.
So to refresh you on its specs. Coming with a 4.3-inch display, the Sensation packs a 1.2GHz dual core processor, 8 megapixel rear camera with HD and VGA front-facing, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 1GB of internal storage, 768MB of RAM, Sense User Interface and so on.
What are your initial thoughts? Are you toying with the idea of a new smartphone, if so does the Sensation tempt you with the price, or is it still too steep for you?

The Sensation is beautiful but.
I switched to the Sensation from the Desire and was really impressed with the screen, the speed, the camera response in other words loved it.
But.. Intermittently I couldn’t unlock the phone after screensave kicked in. The unlock ring would only move a short distance when finger dragged across the screen (as if touch screen response down to 10%)
Had two from Orange, both displayed the fault within 1st day of use – faulty batch maybe? A real shame as I would love to have one.
I’m back with the old phone looking for an alternative again.
