As you know if you are one of the android faithful out there it’s all about which smartphones are going to get updated to Android Ice Cream Sandwich and when, and we’ve already learn about Sony Ericsson’s plans for ICS and their Xperia line, and now we have some confirmation on the plans of LG and Android 4.0.
According to the guys over at Pocket-lint, LG has used their Facebook account to confirm which LG handset will receive the Ice Cream Sandwich update and comprised of LG’s high-end smartphones naturally.
So here’s the confirmed list of LG handsets that will be updated to the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system… the LG Optimus 2X, LG Optimus Black, LG Optimus 3D and the LG Optimus LTE.
Not a great deal of handsets at the moment, but if you device isn’t on that list you probably needn’t worry too much as no doubt LG will add ore to that confirmed list as time goes on.
As for just when Optimus device owners can expect to see the ICS update roll out, well LG hasn’t been forthcoming with an actual update date for the devices, but does say they are continuing to evaluate the ICS operating system with a view to make ICS available on as many LG smartphones as possibly.
And says that they will update sometime in December as to the date when those LG handset can expect the Android 4.0 update via their Facebook page.
So there you have it, LG has at least confirmed which initial LG smartphones can look forward to Ice Cream Sandwich, is one of the above your device?
