As you no doubt know if you own the first Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone to hit the mobile space, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has been experiencing an issue with the volume and we recently let you know that there was a bug fix available, and now word is Samsung is rolling out the official update to the Galaxy Nexus to fix that volume bug.
According to an article over on Slash Gear by way of the Clove, Samsung has started rolling out the software update to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus over the air with a staggered roll out starting as of today and batches of the device will see the update this week.
However, as for the rumour that new consignments of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus would come with the bug fix pre-installed apparently this is not the case, and new buyers will be prompted to download and install the new software shortly after turning on their new Android 4.0 handset.
Neither Samsung nor the Google guys have stated a particular timescale for delivering the update to all Samsung Galaxy Nexus devices out there, so at this moment in time it is still unclear when the volume bug issue will be finally over for all.
So there you have it, it didn’t take old Sammy and Google too long to sort out a fix for the problem s all Galaxy Nexus owners need do now is keep an eye peeled for that software update notification to appear, and once it does and you install it feel free to let us know if it does indeed solve the volume problem or not.
