As it is rapidly approaching that time of year for the big guy with the white beard to put on hit red jacket, load up his sleigh, feed the reindeer and hitch them up with the most famous reindeer in the lead, we thought we’d bring you a couple of Android apps that celebrate Rudolph the red nosed reindeer.
The festive season is always a busy time for parents so why not keep the kids quiet and contented this Christmas by entertaining them with these Rudolph the red nosed reindeer apps.
We’ll kick off with a digital book for the kids simply called Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, an ebook that promotes reading in young children, with individual words highlighted in the story and combines original text with beautiful artwork to promote reading.
The Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer app for Android devices can be read in three ways, Read to Me, Read it Myself and Auto Play, the first being narrated, the second read in the traditional way and the last plays like a movie with auto page turning.
Other features in the application include locating hidden sounds by tapping within an image, custom background audio for each scene, pages pan and zoom and professional audio narration. Then we have another app that is called Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer for Android that is actually a movie called Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Friends, and is a full-length animated feature film that will keep your kids entertained whilst you go about your tasks.
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Friends runs for approximately 57-minutes and includes “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Santa’s Surprise,” “Ginger Nutt’s Christmas Circus,” “Christmas Comes But Once a Year,” “The Shanty Where Santy Claus Lives,” “Christmas Pups,” “Snow Foolin’,” and “Little Tin Soldier.”
For those that wish to entertain their children in the run up to Christmas with the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer feature film you can download it via the Android Market at a cost of £3.21.
