Ice Cream Sandwich Eee Pad MeMo 7 coming Jan
If you prefer your tablet on the smaller side to the popular 10-inch slates and have a penchant for Asus tablets then perhaps the Asus Eee Pad MeMo 7-inch slate, which was first, seen at CES many moons ago might the bill, and finally the Asus Eee Pad MeMo 7 is coming out to play after a very long wait.
According to an article over on Ubergizmo by way of Netbook News, the Asus Eee Pad MeMo 7 tablet will see the light of day in the mobile space sometime in January 2012 after going through much iteration.
And the word is that the Asus Eee Pad MeMo 7 slate will come out packing the latest Android operating system from the Google Guys, Android Ice Cream Sandwich along with what is know as MeMic Bluetooth, apparently the reason behind the long delay. MeMic Bluetooth can be used to listen to music via the tablet, make calls and act as a media remote.
And that’s about it with this new mini Android 4.0 slate from Asus, although word is the Asus Eee Pad MeMo 7 will be offered through carriers rather than shipping to local distributors, and currently there’s no word on just where the Memo 7 will land or how much it will cost.
However if you are interested in the 7-inch slate we have a hands-on video during CES as a refresher for you below as the device has taken so long to surface once again, so head on down and hit that play button to check it out…enjoy.
