Christmas 2011, Norad Tracks Santa via app
There’s just a few weeks to go until the holiday season of Christmas kicks off, when we put up the decorations, buy those last minute presents for loved ones, the children break up from school and the TV is inundated with Christmas programmes. It’s also that time again, when our children can track Santa’s movements on Christmas Eve with the aid of the Norad Santa Tracker.
With the countdown already in full swing to the big night, we wanted to remind you that not only will the Santa Tracker be available to see on the Internet, but you can also benefit from having it as an iOS and Android app. Other ways of tracking the man in red include using Google Maps on your smartphone or even Google Earth, and for the first time this year what about trying out the new Google+ social networking site.
Norad will feature a countdown calendar, games, video messages from around the world, and beginning at 3 pm (GMT +8) on December 24th Christmas Eve, you will be able to track Santa’s whereabouts and how close he is to dropping the presents where you live!
For free check out the new Norad Santa Tracker app on iOS where it’s compatible with the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. In order to have the app, iOS 4.3 or later is required, or click here in order to install it on your Android device.
Tell us if you are a fan of the Norad Santa Tracker? How will you be following it this year, by way of Internet, social networking site or by way of app?
