Over the last few weeks, US carrier Verizon have been stealing the limelight with not only news about when the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will finally release, but news of forthcoming smartphones from Motorola as well as tablet devices. Today the news has centred around a new “white” version of the Droid RAZR that’s on it’s way, as well as two tablets by the name of “Xyboard.”
So what can we tell you, our readers? First up the Droid RAZR, which many other phones will no doubt be trying to rival, will now also be available as a white option, with specifications remaining the same. The RAZR will be available for $300 on a two-year contract, with Verizon offering customers a $100 discount off a Droid Xyboard tablet, and $50 off select Motorola accessories for a limited time only when a customer purchases a RAZR.
If a new tablet is right up your street, then perhaps take a look at one of a pair of Xyboard devices. First up as Engadget stated, there is an 8.2-inch model to choose with either a 16GB retailing for $430 or the slightly bigger 32GB at $530.
The other Xyboard tablet known as the Xoom 2, will be available as a bigger 10.1-inch, available in a 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB. Prices start from $530, $630 and $730. Features to the Xyboard tablets include 1.2GHz dual-core processors, 1GB of RAM, MotoCast, Android 3.2 Honeycomb with an upgrade to Android 4.0 OS, LTE network, 5 MP rear facing HD cameras and LED flash, 1.3 MP to the front for video chat and so on.
