As we swiftly move towards the holiday season of Christmas, it seems that phone manufacturers are still doing their bit to bring us forthcoming news. The latest is concerning T-Mobile and Nokia.
It seems that the two will be hosting a joint event next week on December 14th to announce something to the phone world. As to what it may be it anybody’s guess, but speculation is moving towards the announcement of T-Mobile running with Nokia’s new Lumia 710 smartphone, making it the first as the washingtonpost.com reported, US carrier to launch one of Nokia’s Windows Phone devices.
Just a matter of weeks ago, we reported on Finnish company Nokia announcing to the world their Lumia 710 and 800 line-up, and it’s fair to say they’re pretty impressive.
From what we know so far, the new Lumia 710 has managed to get itself approval from what is known as the FCC, this allows the phone to officially go on sale, something of which was reported for early next year in the US.
So if it is indeed the 710 that is announced on the 14th December, what will it bring in terms of specifications? Packing a 3.7-inch ClearBlack touchscreen display, the phone will run on Windows Phone Mango OS, 1.4GHz single-core chip, 5 MP rear camera with ability to record 720p videos, connectivity with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1, a listing of Nokia preinstalled apps as well as interchangeable back covers.
For now we will have to wait and see what next week’s event will bring us?
Are you looking to purchase a new Nokia Lumia smartphone? If so is it the 710 or 800? What are your views on T-Mobile running either?
