If you are over in the good old US of A and patiently waiting for the Big Red to get their finger out and release that Samsung Galaxy Nexus but are becoming somewhat tired of waiting, and if you don’t mind shelling out a large bundle of bucks to own the first Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone you might like to hit up eBay.
According to the guys over at Phone Arena there is a Verizon version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus up on offer on eBay that could land you the 32GB Android 4.0 smartphone somewhere between the 13th and 15th of this month.
You may be aware that the word doing the rounds is that the Big Red is holding off releasing the Galaxy Nexus in the States due to a disagreement over whether Google Wallet should remain on the handset, as Verizon want it removed, as we reported earlier.
However if you simply must have the Samsung Galaxy Nexus playing nice on the Verizon network before Christmas then you can buy it now on eBay at a rather hefty cost of $1200 plus $30 shipping.
Apparently the eBay seller claims that the Verizon version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is brand new, unused and unopened and in its original packaging, and the seller note in capitals below the specs that Verizon is holding off the release of this phone until mid-Jan — Feb next year.
The seller also says they will include a receipt so there will be no warranty problems, and the device is ready to be activated as they have tested it with their SIM card, so if they have tested their SIM card doesn’t that mean the device has been opened and used?
