There have been rumours flying around that there is another Motorola Droid RAZR in the pipeline, another version of the Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone that is known as the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX, based on images found in Exif data on Picasa; well it appears that the Droid RAZR MAXX is no longer a mystery and could be destined for release in the not too distant future.

According to an article over on Droid-life, the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX is now showing up in the Verizon system although the date in the image according to the guys isn’t the release date for the new Android device.

But it does show that the Motorola Droid RAZR is indeed real and in the Big Red system so should be in testers mitts at some point in the not too distant future,

When it comes to specifications of the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX, there aren’t any known just yet, but presumably will tout better specs than the Motorola Droid RAZR, so perhaps a better display and maybe possibly by the time it comes out to play it could be an Android Ice Cream Sandwich handset.

Of course at the moment all that is just speculation, and as the next Motorola device to make an appearance should be the Motorola Droid 4 on or around the 22nd of the month, we can expect this newest smartphone from Motorola to appear in the New Year.

So the thing is, will you be picking up the Droid 4 or will you be holding off to see what the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX has to offer?
