Apple iPad Accessories: Cregle iPen active stylus: video
If you are the proud owner of an Apple iPad there might be a new accessory for the iOS slate hitting the market in the not too distant future as a Kickstarter project has now hit their funding target for an accessory called the Cregle iPen, the first active stylus for the Apple iPad enabling the user to write on the slate as if they were using a ballpoint pen.
According to the guys over at Ubergizmo by way of Kickstarter, the difference between the Cregle iPen and other available styluses is that the iPen is an active stylus, meaning the iOS accessory delivers other features such as palm rejection, accurate positioning, and picking up a signal from the stylus without touching the display.
This means the Cregle iPen requires batteries along with a receiver to work, but it is still a pen that apparently works better than a passive stylus, and we have some video footage of the Cregle iPen in action for your viewing consideration below.
The Cregle iPen Kickstarter project has managed to raise far more than the required $35,000 to get off the ground, so you should be able to purchase the Apple iPad iPen stylus as some point in the not too distant future hopefully.
Anyway head on down and mash that play button to check out the iPen doing its thing on the iPad in the video below and feel free to let us know your views on the new accessory by dropping us a line o our comments area below…enjoy.
